I turn 32 tomorrow! Honestly after 30 it’s been hard to keep track of how old I am — anyone else feel that way? Like someone asks how old you are and you feel like an idiot when you take a beat to answer?
No big plans on the actual day aside from treating myself to a facial over lunch… and maybe a just-because Target trip and Starbucks birthday drink pitstop after that. #basic
I don’t feel like I have any inspired birthday wisdom to share, aside from noticing how DIFFERENT life has looked comparatively each of my last few birthdays, in ways I never would have guessed. So with that I’m starting my 32nd year with open hands, an open heart, and an open mind. May God fill them and may I learn from what and who comes my way.
Here are this week’s offerings:
eating (/drinking)
Apple Crisp Coffee from Aldi — Fall in a cup! On the lighter side so I’ve been adding one extra scoop after my usual 1:1 tbsp-to-cup ratio.

Who We Follow (Design for Mankind) — Well, I had a book picked out to share, and then I read this article on Friday by way of Tsh Oxenreider’s newsletter and couldn’t stop thinking about it. I see a bit of irony of sharing this here, considering I also share some of my own “must-haves, must-listens, must-watches,” as the writer puts it, in this space. But I’ve been feeling bogged down by my own social media feeds lately and this spoke to me.

Olive & June — I’m here to report O&J is worth all the hype you’ve probably seen in your social media feeds. This is a HUGE deal for someone who has gotten a gel manicure once a month for the past three to four years. I’ve given myself two manis so far and followed their directions from start to finish, including reapplying top coat every couple days. Both manis lasted a solid week before they started chipping (and even then the chipping was really tiny!). I went with the mani system kit, which cost about what I’d pay for two gel manicures.
Dudley Stephens Pullovers — I got my first DS pullover for Christmas last year and my cost per wear has to be extremely low at this point. It was in VERY heavy rotation last winter, so I took advantage of their 25% off sale a couple weeks ago to get another one as an early birthday present.
My first pullover was the Greenpoint Turtleneck in vello fleece (your typical soft fleece - VERY warm). I love the length of the Greenpoint — not too short, not too long, can be worn with leggings or jeans. This time I got the Greenpoint in terry fleece, which is still super soft but just a smidge lighter than the vello fleece (i.e. won’t burn you up if it’s warmer than 55 outside). I’d say they run mostly TTS (I get a medium) but do run just a little tight through the upper arms. I get that this is a bit of an investment, but if you need a Christmas or birthday gift idea for yourself, this is a good one.
And that’s all I’ve got! Have a great week, y’all.
Wishing you well,
Mollie
